About Us

Following the successful one year trial merger in 2011 of Bowls Oxford and The Oxford Working Men's Club, an overwhelming majority voted "Yes" to a full time merger of the two clubs.

From July 2012, we have a new name (Oxford Club Bowls), a new club logo, a new club website and the added benefit of combined membership numbers to enhance our club and competitions. We are located at the Oxford WMC & MSA, 160 High Street, Oxford, New Zealand.

Oxford Club Bowls is a bowling club for the whole community. The club boasts a very high quality full size maniototo grass green, a large car park with full kitchen and dining facilities. The adjacent Oxford Club Complex facilities include: full bar, bar snacks, delicious bistro dining/restaurant, takeaway service, big screen tv’s, live entertainment, separate gaming room, bottle store, a library, courtesy van and a variety of other sport sections.

Oxford
is a small country town nestled at the base of the Oxford foothills in the heart of the Waimakariri District - New Zealand, South Island (North Canterbury). Oxford was originally named after the city of Oxford, England, when it was thought a university would be built here.
